This is just a test of what I might use this blog for. Here are some pictures I wanted to share.
The pictures were shot with a Canon 50D 28-135 lens. My first real DSLR. I still have a long way to go getting exposures right. This was late in the fall afternoon and the sunlight was pretty harsh. The fall grass just adds to the harshness.
This was the maiden flight of this new model so I wanted to capture some pictures before I flew it. It flew really well with only minor adjustments.
This is a scale model of the famous Yak-54 Russian aerobatic plane. The model is what is called a "50 cc" class airplane and uses a 50 cc displacement 2 cycle engine. The model is approximately 30% the size of the real airplane shown below.

The model measures 74 inches in length with a wingspan of 87 inches. Weight is approximately 17 pounds.
Thanks goes to Donny Wright who did some of the assembly including a custom instrument panel.
